To use sublimation ink, first, print the thermal transfer ink on the transfer medium, then thermally transfer it to the target medium, and finally complement the color with warm colors. Most sublimation inks are water-based, but most water-based sublimation inks are used to help small desktop printing and large-format image printing. The advantage of water-based sublimation ink is that it can be transferred to a completely different medium, not just paper.
